Glasgow City Chambers fills the east side of George Square with one of Britain's grandest Victorian municipal interiors. Free guided tours usually show the marble staircases, lobbies, debating chamber, and banqueting hall. Even if you do not tour inside, the Italian Renaissance-style facade is a key part of Glasgow's civic centre.
