Managua is a base rather than a destination, and the operators here sell the country rather than the city — multi-day itineraries taking in Ometepe, the colonial cities, the Río San Juan and the north, with the transport between them arranged.
That last part is worth paying for: moving between Nicaraguan regions is the genuinely awkward bit of travelling here.
