Wrigley Field

Second-oldest Major League Baseball park in use, home of the Cubs since 1916 and famous for its ivy-covered outfield wall

The second-oldest Major League Baseball park still in use, Wrigley Field opened in 1914 and is the home of the Chicago Cubs. The park is a civic landmark independent of any interest in baseball — its ivy-covered outfield walls, manually operated scoreboard, and brick exterior are widely photographed, and the neighbourhood built up around it (Wrigleyville) is one of Chicago's most distinctive.

Games run from April through October; standing room tickets are often available on game day even when the announced sellout is complete. The rooftops on Waveland and Sheffield Avenues overlooking the outfield have been converted into ticketed rooftop clubs. A guided stadium tour runs on non-game days.
