Tarbert itself is small — the distillery, the ferry and the tweed shop — but it sits in the middle of Harris. Drive south for the great white beaches at Luskentyre and Seilebost and the church at Rodel; east through the Bays; or north to Clisham, Hushinish and the Scalpay lighthouse.
