General Luna has developed a surprisingly good food scene given its size. The best seafood comes from the small grill stalls along the beachfront, where the catch of the day is displayed on ice and priced by weight. Fresh tuna is the speciality — Siargao sits within easy reach of some of the richest tuna fishing grounds in the Philippines.
Beyond the seafood stalls, the town has an eclectic range of restaurants serving Filipino, Mexican, Italian, and international food, all aimed at the steady flow of surfers and backpackers. Prices are low by any standard. Most restaurants are concentrated within a few minutes' walk of the Cloud 9 boardwalk area.
