Guyam is a tiny island barely larger than a football pitch, fringed entirely by white sand and surrounded by shallow, impossibly clear water. A handful of palm trees provide the only shade. It's one of three small islands that sit close together off the coast of General Luna and are routinely combined into a single boat tour, but Guyam is the most photogenic of the group.
The boat ride from the General Luna beach takes about twenty minutes. There's not much to do beyond swimming, snorkelling, and lying on the sand, but those activities are excellent here. The water around the island is shallow and calm, making it ideal for snorkelling even for beginners. Go early or late to avoid the midday rush when tour boats arrive in clusters. Vendors on the island sell cold drinks.
