Chicago's Vietnam Veterans Memorial is a small riverfront plaza on the lower Riverwalk, just below Wabash Avenue. Its panels trace the war and list Illinois service members who were killed in action.
It is not one of Chicago's headline monuments, but it is a quiet stop with a good angle on the river and the towers around the Loop. Take the stairs down after crossing from the Near North side.
