Green River Overlook is one of the classic viewpoints in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. The view looks across a deep bend of the Green River and the layered canyon country it helped carve before joining the Colorado River farther south.
The overlook is easy to reach by road and is especially good near sunset, when the cliffs and mesas take on stronger colour and shadow.
