Magen Hasidim Synagogue

Magen Hasidim Synagogue is the largest Bene Israel synagogue in Mumbai. Consecrated in 1931, it grew from an earlier prayer hall into a two-storey building with a recessed entrance, vaulted ceiling, Hebrew inscriptions, chandeliers, and a women's gallery above the main prayer space.

It remains an active synagogue, so visits are best treated as a heritage stop rather than a conventional museum. Dress modestly and expect access to depend on services and community arrangements.
