Hongryeonam Shrine is a small coastal shrine within the Naksansa temple complex, known for its link to the monk Uisang and the bodhisattva Gwaneum. It is not large, but its setting above the East Sea gives it more atmosphere than its size suggests.
Look for the opening in the floor that lets visitors peer down toward the rocks and water below. It is best visited as part of a wider stop at Naksansa rather than as a destination on its own.
