St Andrew's Suspension Bridge is a graceful 19th-century footbridge linking Hutchisontown with Glasgow Green. Opened in 1855, it gives a simple but satisfying crossing of the Clyde and a good angle on the river's older industrial cityscape.
It is not a destination on its own, but it earns its place on a walk through Glasgow Green or along the river. The bridge is especially good if you enjoy the small pieces of engineering that make a city readable on foot.
