A Chicago tavern and rib joint that has been operating on Sedgwick Street in Old Town since 1932 and is one of the most venerated neighbourhood institutions on the North Side. Twin Anchors is famous for its baby back ribs — slow-cooked, served with a proprietary sauce, and priced significantly below the downtown steakhouses.
The interior is aggressively old-school Chicago: wood booths, neon signs, a Sinatra-heavy jukebox (Frank Sinatra reportedly ate here regularly when in Chicago). The waits can be long on weekend evenings; the bar in the front room is a perfectly good way to pass the time. Cash only for many items. Sedgwick at Eugenie; L Brown Line to Sedgwick.
