Sts Volodymyr & Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church is one of the landmarks of Ukrainian Village, with gold domes that rise above the low-rise streets west of downtown Chicago. Built in the 1970s, it reflects Byzantine and Ukrainian church traditions rather than the Gothic and Romanesque styles more common in older Chicago churches.
The interior and iconostasis are the main reasons to visit if the church is open. Even from outside, the domes and entrance mosaic make it a clear marker of the neighborhood's Ukrainian heritage.
